Once upon a time we had simple rubber plugs on a chain to keep water in the basin. Now you need to press the chrome plug bit in the bottom of the basin.

To clear any blockage the chrome bit can be unscrewed for cleaning.

We spend a long time trying to find a shower caddy that looked good and didn't require any drilling into the nice, tidy bathroom tiles. What we have found here is called a 'tension shower caddy' made by Simplehuman.

It isn't obvious how to get the shower drain apart. Here is your step-by-step guide:

Remove the chrome cover by just pulling it up.

The centre part of the shower drain also pulls out but requires a little bit more of a tug:

Then you will find the hair filter in the middle - just lift it out for cleaning.
